In this video I share items that I purchased at the Goodwill Outlet Store (the bins) in Oklahoma City. This time when I went to the bins I stayed a lot longer (3 hours versus my normal 1 hour) and looked up comps to determine whether I wanted to purchase items. My goal was to see if the extra time to look up comps was worth it. I had exciting results! I concluded that it was very worth it and research is a powerful tool for a reseller!

I have been reselling for 17 years, it has allowed me to make a great income while being able to stay home with my kids. I started this channel to share what I have learned and to help others that would like to the same thing!

  1. I am trying to do the same as you. I love thrifting so adding a little extra time to check comps will pay off. I try to be intentional when I first go in but I sometimes stray and get caught up with looking for things I like. Nothing wrong with that but I gotta remember that I'm in there to resell. The struggle is real! lol I found a Eddie Bauer jacket this time around too and want to keep it. I probably will. 🙂 Thanks for sharing! I love watching your videos! I pick up something new every time.

  2. I used your links to order some items from Amazon! Thank you for all of your great information. I also wanted to let you know that the link for the Photo Room app is not working. I looked it up in the App Store and found it but I wanted to use the link in case you got some kind of credit.

  3. Great finds!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Debbie, I know this is not related to reselling but, would you ever considered making a hair tutorial video? Your hair always looks amazing 😍 I’m pretty sure many of us are curious to know about your hair routine 😃

  4. Hi Debbie! I’m so glad I watched this video. I have a merrell fleece coat and didn’t know if it’s men’s or women’s. I was leaning towards women’s and your info about the zipper pull helped me out!! My zipper pull is on the left, so I was right!!

  5. Hi Debbie! Wonderful video! So many great tips as usual!! Question: did you make a huge pile of items and then check the comps? And how many items did you reject after checking? The few times I have attempted thrifting I typically leave with nothing. FYI you can try putting clothing in a closed container with coffee beans or ground coffee (obviously in a separate container) it helps take out musty odors!! You look really amazing in your dress 👗 and hair and makeup 💄 too! 🐾💕

  6. Such great advice! As someone who goes the plus size line it can be so hard to find things that are actually cute in our size so I always look at size L+ first. Also, we just got back from Disney and we used that same stroller from the local stroller rental company that thousands of people use. We LOVED the stroller and I bet a lot of other people feel the same way. I bet it will sell quick!

PS…I found a vintage Circle S Men’s Western Style Blazer at Goodwill today and knew to pick it up based on your previous videos 💕

  7. Debbie, I found this so interesting! Thank you for including all of the breakdowns and how much more you will profit from researching before leaving. I'll bet you were so tired afterwards! I'm really curious to see how you will package and ship the stroller when it sells, it's definitely not something I would think to pick up. Thank you for sharing and there were some new brands to me too!

  8. This was super helpful! I usually do check comps & research which definitely takes more time but wonder if it’s worth it. Watching your video helped me to feel better about the way I go about sourcing. Thank you, Debbie!😊💕

  9. Hi Debbie, Boy I wish my bins had items like you share I would probably go daily. Mine is not very good and I usually only pick up a few items. By the way remember the question I asked you last week about that buyer who asked me if I can wait ten days to pay for item he purchased. I replied back with the advice you gave me, anyways he ended up buying the item a few days later. LOL. I am so glad I can reach out to you with questions and you always reply so quickly! Thanks again for sharing!

  10. Hi Debbie! Excellent info and great haul! When checking comps and deciding on an amount to use as your listing price, do you ever consider the suggested range Poshmark gives? I know that number is based on similar items sold, but sometimes the range they give makes no sense to me. Just wondering your thoughts. Thanks! Linda
